Transformer Transport to Sweden

We carried out the transport of a transformer from the port of Kemi to a wind farm in Piteå, Sweden. The project involved moving a heavy electrical transformer weighing 120 tonnes. This transport required careful planning and expertise in special heavy haulage.

The transformer’s weight and height (5.5 meters) significantly influenced the route selection. Bridge load capacities and clearances were critical factors in route planning to ensure a safe and smooth transport.

For the transport, we used a 13-axle trailer, which allowed the heavy transformer to be moved safely throughout the entire journey. Careful planning and the use of appropriate equipment ensured that the transport was completed on schedule and the client received the transformer without any issues.

The successful completion of this project once again strengthened our position as a reliable and skilled partner for demanding special transports, where heavy and oversized components must be delivered safely to their destination.
