Bridge Section Transport to Sweden

In spring 2024, we carried out the transport of a bridge section from Oulu to Åsele, Sweden, on behalf of Steelgroup Pohjanmaa Oy. Steelgroup is a long-term client with whom we have completed numerous projects, and our collaboration is based on mutual trust.

The bridge section measured 35 meters in length, 5.5 meters in width, and weighed 48 tonnes. To ensure the best possible transport method, we conducted a thorough route study. We worked closely with the Swedish authorities to make necessary adjustments along the route, including snow removal and temporary removal of traffic signs.

Siltalohkon kuljetus Oulusta Åseleen Ruotsiin keväällä 2024. Erikoiskuljetus toteutettiin Steelgroup Pohjanmaa Oy:n tilauksesta käyttäen 3+5 akselista jatkoperävaunua. Pitkän ja leveän siltalohkon siirto vaati tarkkaa reittisuunnittelua, viranomaisyhteistyötä ja raskaan kaluston erikoisosaamista.

The main challenges were the length and width of the section, which made the transport particularly demanding over a long distance. We carefully planned the transport and used a 3+5 axle extendable trailer, allowing the bridge section to be moved safely. Collaboration with the authorities ensured that the route remained clear and safe throughout the transport.

The project was a complete success: the bridge section was delivered intact, saving the client both time and costs. Our client was extremely satisfied with the transport and its smooth execution, further strengthening our position as a reliable and skilled partner for demanding special transports.

Vaativa erikoiskuljetus, jossa 35 metriä pitkä ja 5,5 metriä leveä siltalohko kuljetettiin turvallisesti Oulusta Ruotsin Åseleen. Projekti toteutettiin yhteistyössä Ruotsin viranomaisten kanssa, ja onnistunut toimitus vahvisti asemaamme luotettavana erikoiskuljetusten toteuttajana Suomessa ja Ruotsissa.
